Kim Cattrall to star in new HBO series

“Sex and the City” co-star Kim Cattrall is reportedly set to go back to work on HBO with another sex-themed single-camera comedy project set in New York.

Cattrall will star and also executive produce an adaptation of the British comedy series “Sensitive Skin,” which originally aired on BBC Two for two seasons. The new adaption is being written and exec produced by Emmy-winning “The Sopranos” writers Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green. The story line centers on a middle-aged wife and mother (Cattrall) in New York who rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question her place in the world and the choices she has made in life.

Kim who won a Golden Globe for her role as Samantha on “Sex and the City,” knows something about British film as she recently starred in the ITV telefilm “My Boy Jack” in her native England.

This is the second post-”Sex and the City” collaboration between Cattrall and HBO. In 2005, she exec produced and starred in the documentary “Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence.”

“Sensitive Skin” falls under a development deal Cattrall inked with HBO when she signed on for the “Sex and the City” feature.
