How Obama's brackets fare

Obama Bracket Last year, President Barack Obama was on the money with his NCAA tournament champ. His Final Four? Not so much.

Obama S Bracket The same result this would mean good news for Kansas – and bad for Kentucky, Kansas State and Villanova.

The president filled out a 2010 bracket with ESPN reporter Andy Katz, slotting a bracket with a few first-round upsets, then settling on a mix of 1, 2 and 3 seeds in the Elite Eight. It’s a solid bracket that’ll probably resemble most of the picks around the country.

If that sounds familiar, it’s because Obama’s brackets usually spot the best teams.

His 2009 submission had the champs (UNC). While his missed three of the other Final Four teams, he correctly picked five of the final eight, and had 14 of the schools in the Sweet 16. He spotted 19 of the 32 schools in the second round.

In 2008, he missed on the champ (choosing UNC instead of Kansas), but only missed one Final Four team. He had 10 of the Sweet 16 teams and 22 of the 32 teams in the second round.

Obama knows his hoops. You can see his complete 2010 bracket here, or watch the video below.
